Yusuf Kabadayi makes his debut for Germany U20s

Yusuf Kabadayi made his first appearance for the Germany U20 side on Thursday (07/09). The attacker came on in the 71st minute of their friendly against Italy, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The 19-year-old almost bagged an injury-time winner following a corner at the Stadion auf dem Wurfplatz in Berlin, but Italian goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani was equal to his effort from 18 yards out.

90 minutes for Henning Matriciani in U21 EURO dress rehearsal

The Germany U21s played out a successful dress rehearsal on Friday (16/06), as they prepare to kick off their European Championship campaign next week. The DFB-Junioren won 3-1 against Switzerland U21s in a 120-minute friendly behind closed doors in Imst, Austria. Henning Matriciani got 90 minutes under his belt, while Tom Krauß featured for an hour.

Alessandro Schöpf was brought on just past the hour mark in Austria’s 3-1 win over the Faroe Islands. Meanwhile, Denmark enjoyed a comfortable 8-0 win over Moldova, but Frederik Rönnow had to watch from the bench as an unused substitute.
