Thomas Reis: Not easy, but not impossible either

The first of FC Schalke 04’s final nine games of the season following the international break is on Saturday at home to Bayer 04 Leverkusen (1/4, 15:30 CEST). The Royal Blues are hoping to continue their eight-game unbeaten run this weekend, but Thomas Reis acknowledged “that it won’t be easy, but not impossible either.”

Thomas Reis: We have the opportunity to climb further up the table

FC Schalke 04 are now unbeaten in seven games. Building on this run on Saturday at 15:30 CET (18/3) during the away game against FC Augsburg would be an important step towards survival “We can’t allow ourselves to be pleased with what we’ve achieved so far, we have to keep working hard to pick up points,” said Thomas Reis.

FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund will meet for the 100th time in the Bundesliga and the 160th time in all competitions this Saturday (11/3, 18:30 CET). This weekend’s clash will be Thomas Reis’ first Revierderby, with the S04 boss hoping his side can continue their excellent recent form.

Thomas Reis: We’re back!

His opposite number Thomas Letsch, as well as Ralf Fährmann and Moritz Jenz, all gave their thoughts on the game too.

Thomas Reis: Need to keep a cool head

After last weekend’s long-awaited 2-1 home win against VfB Stuttgart, the Royal Blues are looking for a repeat this Saturday against VfL Bochum (4/3, 15:30 CET). A win would be enough for them to leapfrog their neighbours in the table.

Thomas Reis: Exactly what we’ve been waiting for

Two first-half goals and some resolute defending at the end saw Schalke win 2-1 at home to VfB Stuttgart on Saturday (25/2). Head coach Thomas Reis and his opposite number Bruno Labbadia spoke at the post-match press conference, while Ralf Fährmann and Tom Krauß gave their thoughts to the media too.

Thomas Reis: Be alert, be aggressive and take our chances

FC Schalke 04 have a tough challenge ahead of them on Saturday, as they welcome VfB Stuttgart to the VELTINS-Arena for a relegation six-pointer (25/2, 18:30 CET). Head coach Thomas Reis is hoping for his side to finally get back on the scoresheet after four 0-0 draws in a row.

Thomas Reis: Another clean sheet and good performance against a strong opponent

Schalke drew 0-0 for the fourth consecutive game this Sunday (19/2). Head coach Thomas Reis and his counterpart from Union Berlin, Urs Fischer, gave their thoughts on the goalless draw at the post-match press conference. Michael Frey and Marius Bülter also spoke to the media.

Thomas Reis: We are travelling to Berlin to win

After three goalless draws to start the second half of the season, the ‘Knappen’ face 1. FC Union Berlin at 15:30 CET on Sunday (19/2). The Köpenick-based side, who are currently second in the table and have won their last five Bundesliga games in a row, are favourites on paper, but the Royal Blues’ aim is clear: To come back with three points!

Thomas Reis: We want to show which team is at home

Schalke’s last two games have seen decent performances and two decent results to boot. Following these goalless draws against Köln and Gladbach, Thomas Reis is desperate for a first win of 2023 on Friday at home to VfL Wolfsburg (10/2, 20:30 CET). “We want to take the next step and get a reward of three points,” said the head coach.

Thomas Reis: We’ve gained quality

After picking up their first point of 2023 last time out against 1. FC Köln, FC Schalke 04 are hoping to build on that result away to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday (4/2) at 18:30 CET. Head coach Thomas Reis is confident that his side can get something this weekend after the positive display against the Billy Goats. “It’s important that we play with as much aggression and bravery again,” stressed the boss.
