People with restricted mobility should alight at the Willy-Brandt-Allee stop, as it has no steps and is only slightly further from the VELTINS Arena.
Enquiries about tickets, car-park tickets and directions to dedicated wheelchair user parking spaces should be addressed to honorary board deputy-chairman Hans-Joachim Dohm, who is the main point of contact for all questions relating to barrier-free access to the VELTINS Arena. He can be contacted by phone on +49 0209 / 877 554 or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
By public transport
Take the tram to the VELTINS Arena from Gelsenkirchen central station. On the lower level of the station you will find the tram stop ‘Gelsenkirchen Hauptbahnhof’. The number 302 (direction GE-Buer) takes you straight to the VELTINS Arena stop. The journey takes around 15 minutes. At many major events, additional tram services are provided to cater for demand.
For football matches, your match ticket entitles you to use all means of transport in the VRR region free of charge.
