EU LCS Week 8: Schalke 04 against Giants and G2

The two defeats the week before were a huge setback for the team’s playoff dreams. With five wins from 14 games, the Royal Blue team sat in ninth place in the European League of Legends Championship Series but there is still a long way to go yet.

FC Schalke 04 Esports vs. Giants Gaming

On Friday evening strategic coach André Guilhoto and his team came up against the team from Giants Gaming. The Spanish organisation, just like the team from Schalke, have played in the European League of Legends Championship Series, the top division, since the current split. The departure of various players meant that the organisation had to rebuild their team to a large extent before the split. The game against the Giants will be a tough fixture for Schalke, in a week where a lot is riding on results.

FC Schalke 04 Esports vs. G2 Esports

On Saturday AD carry Upset of the Royal Blues faces a particularly tough match against second-in-the-table G2 eSports. The team from the Spanish organisation have shown their quality throughout this split. For Schalke Support Vander the game is particularly special as he and G2’s Jungler Jankos are good friends. The Royals Blues will need to do their best in order to end week 8 with some important points in the bag.
