Asked about promoting young talent, Reichert was pleased to announce a special highlight: „We have chosen a sustainable and long-lasting approach in esports. For us, that means: We want to train young talents and promote them in their development – as our „Knappenschmiede“ is doing for decades. Michael Haan is a young player who has been particularly noticed in recent months by his considerable performance in the Virtual Bundesliga. For us, there was no question that we wanted to accompany and support Michael in his further development,“ said the miners‘ Chief Gaming Officer. „We are pleased that Michael sees his future on Schalke and finds here the best conditions to be able to develop as a player.“

The native Hamminkelner agreed: „The decision was very easy. I just feel incredibly comfortable at Schalke and the club supports me very well. I’m looking forward to an exciting season. “

In June 2018, Michael Haan won the members‘ cup of FC Schalke 04. Around 10,000 royal blue supporters watched the live final at the annual general meeting (3.6.). With his commitment, a great dream came true for the talented Royal Blue.
