Minister of State Dorothee Bär opens "R+V Gaming House"

Distinguished visitors in the "R + V Gaming House" of the miners: Minister of State Dorothee Bär had accepted the invitation of the Royal Blues to inaugurate the newly renovated League of Legends training center of the FC Schalke 04 Esports in Berlin. In the center of attention stood the exemplary esports commitment of the miners.

„As one of the first clubs of the football Bundesliga, FC Schalke 04 made the courageous decision to become involved into esports. As a digital pioneer, it was very important to us not just to accompany electronic sports. We wanted to use our experience to actively shape the advancement of esports, which sets FC Schalke 04 apart from many other clubs,“ said Alexander Jobst, Board Member for Marketing and Communications at the Royal Blues, in Berlin. „Digitalization remains one of the most important goals for our club. Esports helps us to achieve this goal and to promote digitalization in a sustainable and consistent manner. I am pleased that the Minister of State supports our commitment.“

Still the esports commitment of the miners serves as a model for numerous clubs. For the courageous and determined advance of the Royal Blues Dorothee Bär therefore found only words of praise: „I congratulate FC Schalke 04 for the pioneering work that the club is doing in the field of digitization and I am convinced that many clubs will be guided by it in the future.“

A memorable event in the young history of FC Schalke 04 Esports, followed by a tour through the League of Legends training center. Valuable insights into the different fields of activity of the Royal Blues were given to Minister of State Dorothee Bär by Tim Reichert and Dr. Claudio Kasper, Managing Directors of FC Schalke 04 Esports GmbH.

Especially through the sustained engagement in League of Legends, Royal Blue has been able to build and expand new fans worldwide as well as numerous partnerships. An excellent example of this is R+V Versicherung, which has also been involved as the main sponsor of the FC Schalke 04 Esports since the beginning of the year. Anja Stolz, Head of Marketing and Product Management at R+V Versicherung, was also impressed by the reception: „I am very pleased that the Minister of State has taken the time to inaugurate the ‚R+V Gaming House‘ together with R+V Versicherung and FC Schalke 04.“
