LEC: S04 Esports with the next perfect week

Our League of Legends professional team continued its winning streak impressively and after four successes in the LEC is tied with G2 Esports in second place. Even front runner Rogue had to admit defeat against the Royal Blues.

After defending champion G2, leaders Rogue are also left behind against S04 Esports

The Schalke LEC team around jungler Gilius and Top Laner BrokenBlade started the third week of the spring split with plenty of self-confidence. After all, the blue-whites had won their games two and three against the previously undefeated defending champion G2 Esports and the German rival SK Gaming. But the next opponent was tough: with Rogue, the front runner was waiting for the Royal Blues, who wanted to expand their flawless record from 5-0.

But Gilius & Co. did not allow that. Our LoL professionals again managed to bring a top favorite for the title to their knees. In the first quarter of an hour of the game, the match was even, neither of the two teams could achieve a gold advantage. That changed in the later course of the game, in which the Royal Blues followed a middle four-digit gold advantage with a dominant ending in which they eliminated all five opponents and thus secured the third LEC victory in a row.

But the success against Rogue was not the only win for S04 Esports in the third week of the split. Schalke also made the following match against Misfits Gaming successful. The blue-whites took over the scepter early on in the game. BrokenBlade and his teammates later increased the initially small gold advantage to over 7,000. As in the matches against G2 and SK Gaming the week before, the decision was made in the 33rd minute of the game: In a team fight, Schalke made the fourth LEC victory in a row clear. In the table, S04 Esports ranks second with G2 with a balance of 5-2 and 15 points. Only Rogue (6-1) has more points (18).

Next opponents: Astralis and MAD Lions

The fourth LEC game week that follows marks the end of the first half of the season. Friday evening (6 p.m.) S04 Esports gets to do with Astralis. The Danish team has not yet found its strength and was only able to win one of the first seven matches. Together with Vitality, Astralis is at the bottom of the table. The goal of the Royal Blues is clear: The fifth win in a row!

On Saturday evening (7 p.m.) Schalke will then have the chance against the MAD Lions from Spain to return the favor for a defeat in the past LEC season. After the sensational Miracle Run, it were the MAD Lions who prevented the Royal Blues from participating in the playoffs. In the current spring split, the Spanish team has a score of 4-3, the last match was a success against Team Vitality.
