Moussa Sylla trains for the first time as a Royal Blue

The second week of pre-season saw a new face join up with the rest of Karel Geraerts’ squad on Monday (1/7). New signing Moussa Sylla trained for the first time with his new team after being given a few days extra holiday.

The attacker, who signed for the Royal Blues exactly a week ago, was given a few extra days off having played for Mali at the end of last season.

After signing his contract with the club, the 24-year-old explained that he was looking forward to meeting both his new teammates and the fans, and he got the chance to do both on Monday with the session being open to the public. His signature was in high demand with the supporters in attendance, and the former Pau FC striker also took time to take photos with a number of fans.

S04 begin pre-season with performance and medical tests

37 days after the conclusion of the 2023/2024 season, FC Schalke 04’s first team returned to start preparations for the new campaign. The players were split up into small groups on Monday (24/6) for performance tests at medicos.AufSchalke – presented by club partner Knappschaft Kliniken. The second round of the tests will take place on Tuesday (25/6).
