Kenan Karaman: We have to perform like that again

Kenan Karaman made history in Schalke’s home game against Hannover 96 on Sunday (15/3), but after the frustrating 2-2 draw which saw all three points snatched away in the final seconds, it meant little to the Schalke captain. The strong performance did at least leave him positive about the weeks ahead.

Nikola Katic: Need to give it 120 percent

Nikola Katic found himself watching last weekend’s 1-0 home win against Arminia Bielefeld (6/3) from an unusual position – in the stands, instead of on the pitch. The centre-back was suspended after having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against SpVgg Greuther Fürth the previous week. “It wasn’t a nice feeling,” the 29-year-old said. “I was very nervous during the game, but very happy to get to celebrate with the others afterwards.”

Youri Mulder: We’re not going to change everything now

When FC Schalke 04 host Hannover 96 at the VELTINS-Arena on Sunday (15/3) at 13:30 CET, the side with the second-best home record in Bundesliga 2 will take on the division’s strongest away team. Just five points separate the two clubs in the table and Youri Mulder knows how important the game is, but also stressed that every match between now and the end of the season is worth the same three points.
