S04 defeat Hertha BSC 2-1 to kick off the new season

The Royal Blues deservedly claimed all three points against Hertha BSC on Friday night (1/8) in the opening game of the new 2. Bundesliga season. Moussa Sylla (16’) and Nikola Katic (23’) got the Schalke goals in a 2-1 victory at the VELTINS-Arena, with Sebastian Grønning pulling one back with a minute to play for the visitors.

Around 3,000 fans attended FC Schalke 04’s first training session of the new season on Saturday (21/6). The players and coaching team took time after training to sign autographs and take photos with supporters, with new coach Miron Muslic and new signings Timo Becker and Soufiane El-Faouzi all in high demand.
