Defender Felipe Sanchez signs for FC Schalke 04

Centre-back Felipe Sanchez has joined the Royal Blues from Argentine top-flight side Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata. The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal valid until 30th June 2028 and will train for the first time on Tuesday (9/7) at the training camp in Mittersill.

S04 to leave for training camp in Mittersill on Monday

FC Schalke 04 will head to the Ferienregion Nationalpark Hohe Tauern for their summer training camp for the eighth time on Monday (8th July). In Mittersill, head coach Karel Geraerts’ side will spend a week working hard to prepare for the challenges ahead in both the 2. Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal.

It goes without saying that FC Schalke 04’s aim at the Nevernot Cup on Saturday (6/7) was to finish first and come away with the trophy, but the Royal Blues ended up in second place following a 1-0 loss against Kickers Emden and a 4-2 victory over hosts SV Meppen.

S04 finish second in the Nevernot Cup – Moussa Sylla bags a hat-trick

FC Schalke 04 won and lost a game apiece on Saturday (6/7) at the Nevernot Cup. The Royal Blues were beaten 1-0 by tournament winners Kickers Emden in their first game, but bounced back to defeat hosts SV Meppen 4-2.

Kenan Karaman signs new contract at Schalke

Kenan Karaman has signed a new contract at FC Schalke 04. The forward has put pen to paper on a deal until 30th June 2028. Karaman scored 14 goals and provided nine assists in 31 competitive games last season.

S04 to host Eintracht Braunschweig on matchday 1

FC Schalke 04 will face Eintracht Braunschweig at the VELTINS-Arena on the opening matchday of the 2024/25 2. Bundesliga season, pitting new signings Ron-Thorben Hoffmann and Anton Donkor against their old club. The game will either be played on 3rd or 4th August.

Sylla scores twice as Schalke put seven past Velbert to kick off pre-season

FC Schalke 04 won their first friendly ahead of the 2024/25 season 7-0 against SSVg Velbert on Wednesday night (3/7). Sebastian Polter and Amin Younes scored in the first half at Stadion Ratingen, before Moussa Sylla (2), Bryan Lasme, Tomas Kalas and Kenan Karaman all got themselves on the scoresheet after the break.

FC Schalke 04 extend contract with Böklunder by a further two years

A long-term partnership will celebrate its silver jubilee: FC Schalke 04 have extended their contract with Böklunder, a company part of the Zur Mühlen Group (ZMG), until the end of the 2025/26 season. The self-service sausage market leaders have sponsored S04 since 2001 and the brand ‘Böklunder’ is an established part of the catering on offer at the VELTINS-Arena.

First pre-season friendly against Velbert – Adrian Gantenbein excited for his S04 debut

FC Schalke 04’s first friendly of pre-season will be on Wednesday night (3/7) away against SSVg Velbert. Kick off at Stadion Ratingen will be at 18:00 CEST (S04 will show the game for free on YouTube) and a number of Royal Blues could appear for the first time for their new club. One of those new faces is Adrian Gantenbein.

Shakhtar Donetsk to play Champions League matches at Schalke

Special cooperation in dark times: Because leading Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk will still not be able to play their matches at their own stadium in the 2024/2025 season, FC Schalke 04 will host their games at the VELTINS-Arena. The Ukrainians will therefore play all Champions League matches at Schalke, both in the new-look league phase and possible later matches.
