Michael Langer remains at S04 in a new role

Michael Langer’s career with FC Schalke 04 is set to continue after his retirement as a player. The former goalkeeper will undertake a trainee programme in sport management until the end of the 2025/26 season. This follows on from his sport management studies, which the 40-year-old completed in November 2024, during the final season of his playing career.

The Royal Blues began Tuesday (5/8) with an open training session for fans as part of their preparation for their trip to face the Red Devils. New signing Hasan Kurucay was in training with the rest of the team.
