Peter Balette to leave Schalke 04

Assistant coach Peter Balette will be released from his contract with FC Schalke 04, after having approached the club's management team on Tuesday (22/10) with a request to do so due to personal reasons. The club have granted his request with immediate effect.

Max Grüger: A childhood dream come true

S04 partner with Deutsche Krebshilfe for special edition shirt

What started in 1973 as a test run in Braunschweig soon became the norm in German football: shirt sponsors. FC Schalke 04 first ran out with a sponsor on the front of their shirts in the Bundesliga in the 1978/79 season. Günter Siebert, then president of the club, decided that the Royal Blues would promote a charitable cause in the form of the Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Aid).

The result of this is the founding of the Registered Cooperative Society at Schalke. As part of the overall process, there was also an exchange with members of the Schalke family on these very questions.
