The Belgian is the third new face on the backroom staff after Sidney Sam and Stephan Loboué (goalkeeping coach).

There will be fresh faces in the Schalke dugout from next season, with Stephan Loboué and Sidney Sam becoming a part of Karel Geraerts' backroom staff. Loboué will take over the role of first team goalkeeping coach, while Sam will act as one of S04’s pitchside assistant coaches. Current assistant coach Tim Smolders, as well as fitness coach Alexander Stork, will continue as part of the coaching team.
