Soichiro Kozuki moves on loan to Gornik Zabrze

Attacker Soichiro Kozuki has signed on loan for Polish first-division side Gornik Zabrze. The Japanese forward will spend the rest of year in Poland after one and a half years with S04. The 14-time Polish champions have also secured a buy option. If that is activated, FC Schalke 04 will have a buy-back clause available.

Justin Heekeren joins Maasmechelen on loan

Goalkeeper Justin Heekeren will play for Patro Eisden Maasmechelen for the remainder of the 2023/24 season. FC Schalke 04 have loaned the 23-year-old, who made his 2. Bundesliga debut this season, to the fourth-placed side in the Belgian second tier.

FC Schalke 04 have signed Darko Churlinov on loan from Burnley until the end of the 2023/24 season. The Royal Blues have also agreed a buy option to secure the creative and versatile attacker on a long-term basis.

Assan Ouédraogo suffers a torn syndesmosis ligament

An MRI scan on Monday (20/11) showed that Assan Ouédraogo has torn a syndesmosis ligament in his right foot. The 17-year-old will therefore definitely miss the remaining four games of the year. A decision on when Ouédraogo can return will first be made in January 2024.

Assan Ouédraogo to return home early from the U-17 World Cup

Midfielder Assan Ouédraogo will depart the U-17 World Cup in Indonesia early and return to Gelsenkirchen on Sunday (19/11). After detailed examinations by the DFB’s medical team, he had more scans on Thursday afternoon (16/11) in Indonesia and they showed he had suffered an ankle injury.
