Schalke extend cooperation with adidas and 11teamsports until 2031
FC Schalke 04 and adidas have partnered almost continuously since the Bundesliga was founded back in 1963. The two have now decided to further deepen their cooperation, with the Royal Blues extending their partnership with adidas and 11teamsports until 30th June 2031.
The previous agreement between the sides was set to run until June 2027, but has since been expanded following a mutual decision by all three parties. The agreement has been retroactively dated to 1st July 2025, allowing for even more attractive economic terms and benefits for the Royal Blues.
Since entering into a new partnership back in 2022, adidas has been able to outfit the Royal Blues with several eye-catching designs. This season’s home kit serves as a modern reimagining of the club’s iconic R’activ shirt from the 90s, and was chosen by fans as the best home shirt of any current second division club in Germany during an external voting. The club’s 2023/24 home kit had previously also finished first in this vote.
Under the new agreement, Schalke fans can look forward to three new bespoke kits each season, as well as special adidas merchandise collections. Additionally, both partners will supply the Schalke women’s team with additional merchandise from this summer, along with hosting various events geared towards young fans.
The depth of this successful collaboration is demonstrated not only by the early renewal, but also by the scope of the agreement we have put together.
“We are extremely proud to have been able to continue our partnership on such a large scale,” said Matthias TIllmann, CEO of FC Schalke 04. “I would like to express my sincere thanks to adidas, 11teamsports and our marketing partner SPORTFIVE. The depth of this successful collaboration is demonstrated not only by the early renewal, but also by the scope of the agreement we have put together.” Tillmann also emphasised that, “It was particularly important for us, and an express wish from our members, that all three Schalke shirts are unique and immediately recognisable. Through individual agreements with adidas and 11teamsports, we are able to offer all Schalke fans products of quality, variety and availability that are tailored to their needs.”
Marina Moguš, General Manager Central Europe at adidas, said: “We are connected by far more than just our collaboration – this is a partnership between equals, supported by our shared goals and passion. We are delighted to continue adding to this success story, together with 11teamsports.”
“We are delighted to have agreed to an early extension of our partnership agreement, and would like to express our thanks for the constructive and trust-filled meetings held over the last weeks,” said Rolf Gramer, Director Pro Club Business at 11teamsports. “Within our existing partnership, we are taking the next step together with our partner adidas, and will continue to proudly promote the Royal Blue colours. We are proud to remain at S04’s side as their exclusive supplier, in addition to being the club’s exclusive finishing partner, together with adidas.”
