Since August 2011, S04 have doubled their membership numbers, having broken through the 100,000 mark back then. In 2017, the club celebrated its 150,000th member. For comparison: in 2002, membership stood at around 31,000. With this latest milestone, Schalke are now among the six largest sports clubs in the world in terms of membership and rank third nationwide in Germany.

Sebastian Buntkirchen, Schalke’s director of fans and sustainability, underlined the significance of membership: “Being a member means becoming part of a large community that connects far beyond football. At the same time, it gives people the chance to actively shape the club – whether through voting rights, having a say in decisions, or taking part in the club’s wide range of activities. The figure of 200,000 members highlights the deep bond within our club family and also presents us with a clear responsibility: together with our members, we want to keep developing Schalke every single day and make the club even better.”

Fans can join Schalke 04 quickly and easily online in under 04 minutes. Options include classic membership, family membership, or lifetime membership – all of them offering exclusive benefits. Full details can be found via the membership section.
