Schalke’s first Bundesliga game of the new calendar year on Saturday, 2 January away to Hertha BSC (18:30 CET) will also be Christian Gross’s first game as the new Royal Blue head coach. The 66-year-old is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead and does not wish to spend too much time looking in the rear-view mirror. "It doesn’t help to always talk about the past. Zero tolerance for incidents during Hertha match

FC Schalke 04 are taking the statements of Hertha BSC player, Jordan Torunarigha, regarding racist speech and noises directed at him during the DFB-Pokal match on Tuesday evening (4th February) very seriously. Together with the Gelsenkirchen police, security service and internal sources including for example the recently opened #stehtauf drop-in centre, the case is being reviewed in detail.
