Saturday’s game (23/8) against VfL Bochum won’t be Hasan Kuruçay’s first at the VELTINS-Arena, though it will be his first match there as a Royal Blue. The defender suffered a 1-0 defeat with Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2023/24 season in Gelsenkirchen and is now hoping to taste success there tomorrow night.

New signing Hasan Kurucay was in training with the rest of the team. The centre-half, who put pen to paper a week ago, is now in full training, having previously only been able to join parts of first-team training.

FC Schalke 04 have strengthened their defence with the signing of Hasan Kurucay, who joins the Royal Blues on a contract running until 30th June 2027. The 27-year-old spent last season playing for Belgian top-flight side OH Leuven, having previously spent a year and a half at Eintracht Braunschweig. He will wear the number 4 shirt at Schalke.
