Focus turns towards Frankfurt: Cut out mistakes, take chances

The Royal Blues’ biggest shortcoming in the friendly match against Werder Bremen (14/1) was the missed the chances, especially in the first half. Alex Král: It was a step in the right direction

Alongside Werder Bremen’s Romano Schmid, Alex Král was the fastest player on the pitch during Saturday’s match (05.11). The Czech was always involved in the action, showed lots of drive to get in front of goal and was almost able to celebrate his first goal in a Schalke 04 shirt. He was able to enjoy his 17th minute goal briefly before it was ruled out due to Kenan Karaman, who provided the assist, being in an offside position in the build up.
