VELTINS-Arena

By car/coach

Exit 6 (Gelsenkirchen-Buer) on the A2 autobahn and Exit 17 (Gelsenkirchen-Schalke) on the A42 take you straight to the VELTINS-Arena. Simply follow the VELTINS-Arena signs on leaving the motorway. A total of 14,000 parking spaces are available around the ground.

What to enter in your satnav

For car parks A, B, C1, C2, C3 and Kinocenter (cineplex), enter Adenauerallee.

For car parks D1, D2, D3, D4, E1 and E2, enter Willy-Brandt-Allee.

Do not use your satnav when leaving the stadium! Car park service personnel will guide you to the most convenient autobahn ramp or city route.

Information for coach drivers

At football matches car park P6 is available for coaches carrying supporters of FC Schalke 04. Enter Adenauerallee in your satnav.

Coaches carrying away supporters should use the Gelsenwasser car park (enter Willy-Brandt-Allee in your satnav).

For non-football events, please consult the relevant event publicity for information on coach parking.

By public transport

Take the tram to the VELTINS-Arena from Gelsenkirchen central station. On the lower level of the station you will find the tram stop ‘Gelsenkirchen Hauptbahnhof’. The number 302 (direction GE-Buer) takes you straight to the VELTINS-Arena stop. The journey takes around 15 minutes. At many major events, additional tram services are provided to cater for demand.

For football matches, your match ticket entitles you to use all means of transport in the VRR region free of charge.
