Schalke players return to training

After around two and a half weeks off, the Schalke players have returned to training in Gelsenkirchen to prepare for the second half of the season.

Marcin Kaminski and Ibrahima Cissé were back on the training pitch after their injuries, but Michael Langer and assistant coach Matthias Kreutzer were absent due to illness. Leo Greiml, Thomas Ouwejan, Rodrigo Zalazar, Florian Flick and Sepp van den Berg did some individual work inside.

Justin Heekeren, Sidi Sané and Kerim Calhanoglu were with the U23s on the nearby pitch as they got ready for the Regionalliga game against 1. FC Köln on Friday (2/12, 12:00 CET) at the Parkstadion.

Maya Yoshida is still with Japan at the World Cup.
