Dates for pre-season preparation scheduled

The FC Schalke 04 senior team will begin preparations ahead of the 2025/26 season on Thursday, 19th June. The first two days will consist of performance and medical tests at medicos.AufSchalke, presented by S04 partner Knappschaft Kliniken. The opening session on the training pitches will follow on Saturday, 21st June. Exact times and further information will be provided in due course.

Alongside the return to training, additional dates have already been pencilled in. The first friendly is set to be contested in Nordhorn on Saturday, 28th June, when the Royal Blues will take on the “Best of Grafschaft.” This team will comprise of players from various clubs in the Grafschaft Bentheim area. Kick-off at the Sportpark Blanke am Heideweg is scheduled for 16:00 CEST. The Knappen then travel to face 1. FC Bocholt a week later, with the match at the Stadion am Hünting commencing at 17:00 CEST.

The Knappen will then undertake a training camp from 7th to 14th July, hosted by new partner for tourism Stubai Tirol. Their destination of Neustift im Stubaital, Austria, offers ideal conditions. Two further friendlies are planned for this period.

One opponent has already been confirmed on Schalke’s return from Austria. On Sunday, 20th July, the Royal Blues travel to face fifth-tier side Rot Weiss Ahlen at 14:00 CEST.

The annual ‘Schalke Day’ is also already in the diary, presented by SUN MINIMEAL. The season opening celebration promises to be another highlight of the summer, set to take place around the VELTINS-Arena on Saturday, 26th July. The first team will play another friendly on this date, with the Knappen’s opponent to be disclosed shortly.

11:00 CEST | ‘Schalke Day’ (around the VELTINS-Arena)
