Matchdays 16 to 18 scheduled

The German Football League (DFL) confirmed the schedule for the final two league games before Christmas and the first match of the new year on Thursday (09/11). FC Schalke 04 will kick off 2024 with a home game against Hamburger SV on a Saturday evening.

Late Latza goal secures 2-1 win away in Nürnberg

FC Schalke 04 recorded their first away win of the season on Saturday afternoon (4/11). Karel Geraerts’ side ran out 2-1 winners at 1. FC Nürnberg, marking the hosts’ first loss at the Max-Morlock-Stadion this term. Dominick Drexler (35’) and Danny Latza (89’) got the goals for S04.

FC Schalke 04’s next game is away to 1. FC Nürnberg on Saturday afternoon (4/11) at 13:00 CET. “It will be a fantastic atmosphere, I’m sure of that. I’ve already heard a lot about this friendship. I’m now looking forward to experiencing it myself,” said Karel Geraerts before the visit to the Max-Morlock-Stadion. “We can enjoy the atmosphere up until kick off. Once the referee blows his whistle, we have to be fully focused on the game.”
