Amine Harit

Two goals in the 5-1 win away at Paderborn, an assist and the winning goal in the 2-1 home victory over Mainz as well as a goal and an assist in the 3-1 win against RB Leipzig: Harit has had an incredibly successful September, which has lead to the Moroccan being voted ‘Player of the Month’.

The 22-year-old beat out last month’s winner Robert Lewandowski, as well as Philippe Coutinho, Joshua Kimmich (all from Bayern Munich), Stefan Lainer (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Christian Günter (Sc Freiburg) to the award.

It’s not the first award Harit has received in this still young season either. The Morocco international was also voted as Schalke ‘Player of the Month’ for August and is a nominee for Schalke 04’s Hagerdorn ‘Player of the Month’ for September as well, the winner of which will be announced after the derby against Borussia Dortmund on 26th October. Harit’s wonder strike against Mainz was also nominated for the September ‘Goal of the Month’.
