...the upcoming home game against Bremen:

We are expecting a good team with a terrific attack, which has scored many goals this season. It was fun for me to watch their games in preparation for our game. Their success isn’t only down to Florian Kohfeldt, but in my eyes he is a great coach and who emphasizes with his work that you do not necessarily need many years of experience in the Bundesliga or 2. Bundesliga to do a good job in this league.

...three games this week:

Seven games in 23 days is just a normal schedule for us. Of course we cannot train as intensively as we want to but we are also excited for every game that comes out way. If it was up to our players, we would have been able to play another game after our victory in Dusseldorf. The atmosphere and the feeling around the team is very good.

...training in smaller groups:

Due to the international break, lots of our boys are not here. However, the players who are still in Gelsenkirchen have trained very hard and have certainly not taken it easy. Domenico was very satisfied with this week’s training and he has got a good feeling from it.

...Mark Uth’s debut for Germany:

For a player, it is always extremely special to play for your country. Unfortunately the result (Netherlands 3-0 Germany) was not good but Mark was not disappointed with his debut. He worked hard and put himself about and so it was a decent performance. I think the whole experience will give him a boost. In my eyes, it is only a matter of time before Mark scores his first goal for us. We all believe in him 100%.

...Naldo’s contract extension:

As a player and a person, Naldo is a role model and is very important for our team and the club. He plays a vital role on the pitch. His age is not a concern to me. If someone does their job properly, which is what Naldo does, day after day, he can carry on playing. Naldo is an absolute professional.
