Ron Schallenberg handed a two-match ban

Ron Schallenberg has been suspended for two matches by the DFB’s sports tribunal. The midfielder will therefore miss both the home game against FC Bayern München (5/9) and the away game at Union Berlin (11/9).

Schallenberg was shown a red card in the 62nd minute of Schalke’s first Bundesliga match of the season by referee Sascha Stegemann on 30th August 2026.

Michael Gregoritsch, Anton Kade and Rodrigo Ribeiro scored the goals for the hosts at the WWK ARENA. S04 played the final half an hour with ten men after Ron Schallenberg was shown a red card in the second half.
