Paul Seguin: An enjoyable first few days

Several Bundesliga clubs expressed an interest in Paul Seguin over the past few weeks, however the 28-year-old midfielder decided to join FC Schalke 04 instead. This was because of the “fantastic conversations with the club. Ron Schallenberg: The first training session was a real highlight

New signing Ron Schallenberg trained with his new club for the first time on Monday (26/6) at the Parkstadion in front of around 2,400 supporters. The midfielder, who was captain of his previous side SC Paderborn 07, was given a huge round of applause as he took the field. Around 2,400 fans in attendance for the start of pre-season

FC Schalke 04 began preparations for the 2023/24 season with the first training session of pre-season on Monday (26/6) at the Parkstadion. Head coach Thomas Reis had 23 players at his disposal in front of around 2,400 fans. The players completed medical and fitness tests over the weekend prior to the first training session.

Danny Latza: It’s our reward for a season of hard work

Despite missing the game through suspension, Danny Latza was able to perform his most important role of the season with aplomb on Saturday: the Royal Blues’ captain was able to lift the ‘Meisterschale’ into the air and kick off the celebrations at the end of a league-winning season for Schalke 04. Donata Hopfen, head of the executive board of the German Football League (DFL), handed over the league trophy to Latza after S04’s 2-1 win away at 1. FC Nürnberg on Sunday May 15th.

The season ended perfectly for FC Schalke 04 on Sunday at 1. FC Nürnberg (15/5). The Royal Blues sealed the title with a 2-1 win and Simon Terodde got his 30th goal of the season. Both head coaches plus S04’s two goalscorers spoke to the media after the game.

Schalke striker Simon Terodde has ended the season as the second division’s top goalscorer for the fourth time in his career – no player has ever managed this before in German professional football. Terodde’s goal to win the game at 1. FC Nürnberg on Sunday (15/5) was his 30th of the season, a new personal best for the legendary forward.
