S04’s friendly on Saturday (28/6) was against the ‘Best of Grafschaft’, a team made up of the best footballers from the region of Grafschaft Bentheim. Pape Meïssa Ba (2), Amin Younes, Henning Matriciani, Timo Becker, Peter Remmert, Anton Donkor, Mauro Zalazar and Bojan Potnar were all on the scoresheet for the Royal Blues.

Kees van Wonderen was pleased with the 1-0 friendly win over FC Groningen on Wednesday night (19/3). “I’m satisfied with the performance,” said the Schalke head coach after the game. Aymen Barkok scored the only goal of the evening in the 18th minute from the penalty spot after Peter Remmert was brought down in the box.

FC Schalke 04 won their second friendly of their winter training camp on Thursday afternoon (9/1). The Royal Blues beat Swiss first-division side FC Zürich 3-0 at the Titanic Sports Center in Belek thanks to goals from Moussa Sylla, Marcin Kaminski and Emil Højlund (penalty).
