Bad weather causes an early finish – S04 lose 4-2 to FC Midtjylland

FC Schalke 04’s first friendly during their training camp at the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern ended early due to bad weather in Saalfelden. The score in the 82nd minute was 4-2 to FC Midtjylland. The Royal Blues actually led 2-1 at the break thanks to goals from Moussa Sylla and Paul Seguin.

S04 finish second in the Nevernot Cup – Moussa Sylla bags a hat-trick

FC Schalke 04 won and lost a game apiece on Saturday (6/7) at the Nevernot Cup. The Royal Blues were beaten 1-0 by tournament winners Kickers Emden in their first game, but bounced back to defeat hosts SV Meppen 4-2.

Sylla scores twice as Schalke put seven past Velbert to kick off pre-season

FC Schalke 04 won their first friendly ahead of the 2024/25 season 7-0 against SSVg Velbert on Wednesday night (3/7). Sebastian Polter and Amin Younes scored in the first half at Stadion Ratingen, before Moussa Sylla (2), Bryan Lasme, Tomas Kalas and Kenan Karaman all got themselves on the scoresheet after the break.

First pre-season friendly against Velbert – Adrian Gantenbein excited for his S04 debut

FC Schalke 04’s first friendly of pre-season will be on Wednesday night (3/7) away against SSVg Velbert. Kick off at Stadion Ratingen will be at 18:00 CEST (S04 will show the game for free on YouTube) and a number of Royal Blues could appear for the first time for their new club. One of those new faces is Adrian Gantenbein.

Two friendlies arranged for S04’s training camp

FC Schalke 04 have scheduled two further pre-season friendlies. During the one-week training camp in Mittersill (8th-14th July), the Royal Blues will face FC Midtjylland and Dynamo Kyiv. The two clubs will be involved in Champions League qualifiers shortly after they play S04.

S04 to face third-division side SC Verl on 18th July

FC Schalke 04 have scheduled another pre-season friendly: the Royal Blues will take on SC Verl on Thursday, 18th July at 18:30 CEST. The hosts finished 12th in the 3. Liga last season.

S04 to face FC Twente in a friendly in Marl

FC Schalke 04 will play FC Twente in a friendly a week and a half before the new season starts. The game against the club’s friends from the Netherlands will take place on Wednesday, 24th July at the EVONIK Sportpark in Marl, which holds around 3,000 spectators. Kick off will be at 18:30 CEST.

FC Schalke 04 have arranged a friendly for the forthcoming international break. On Wednesday, 20th March, head coach Karel Geraerts’ side will visit North Rhine-Westphalia-based Regionalliga club FC Gütersloh. The game will kick off at 19:00 CET at the Ohlendorf Stadion in Heidewald.

4-1 friendly win against Verl on Soppy's S04 debut

The Royal Blues played a friendly against SC Verl behind closed doors at Ernst-Kuzorra-Weg on Wednesday (7/2). S04 emerged 4-1 victors against the third-tier side, and fielded none of the players who started the 1-0 win over Eintracht Braunschweig. Ten academy players were given game time in the fixture.
