Final pre-season friendly confirmed – Royal Blues to play Wiesbaden

FC Schalke 04 have arranged another friendly ahead of the 2025/26 season. During the club’s eight-day training camp in Stubaital, Miron Muslic’s team will play SV Wehen Wiesbaden at 11:00 CEST on Saturday, 12th July at the training ground in Neustift.

The Royal Blues will therefore play twice in Austria on 12th July, having already arranged a friendly with Swiss side FC St. Gallen for 15:00 CEST at the Velly Arena in Imst. This will allow the Schalke coach to give minutes to all his players across the two fixtures.

Overall, Muslic’s Knappen will play eight friendlies in pre-season, the first of which was on Saturday (28/6) in Nordhorn. Schalke won 9-1 against the ‘Best of Grafschaft’ team. Next up is an away game against fourth-division side 1. FC Bocholt on Saturday, 5th July (17:00 CEST) at Stadion am Hünting. The team will then head to Austria on 7th July for eight days.

Following their return from Austria, S04 have two more friendlies that weekend. Friends from the Netherlands, FC Twente, visit the Parkstadion on Saturday, 19th July (14:00 CEST) and then the Royal Blues are away at fifth-division outfit Rot Weiss Ahlen the following day (14:00 CEST).

Miron Muslic’s first game in charge of FC Schalke 04 ended in a 9-1 victory. S04’s friendly on Saturday (28/6) was against the ‘Best of Grafschaft’, a team made up of the best footballers from the region of Grafschaft Bentheim. Pape Meïssa Ba (2), Amin Younes, Henning Matriciani, Timo Becker, Peter Remmert, Anton Donkor, Mauro Zalazar and Bojan Potnar were all on the scoresheet for the Royal Blues.
