Polter suffers suspected cruciate ligament injury

Sebastian Polter unfortunately looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines. An MRI scan has shown that the 31-year-old suffered a suspected cruciate ligament injury in his right knee in yesterday’s 2-2 draw with FC Zürich.

Schalke midfielder Florian Flick has joined 1. FC Nürnberg on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season. The 22-year-old has a contract running until 30th June 2024 with the Royal Blues. The two clubs have agreed not to disclose any further details of the loan agreement.

The man who put together the team that got promoted last season has informed the board that he would like to leave the club before the end of his contract due to personal reasons.
