As part of this restructuring, the role of director of the Knappenschmiede and development is no longer required. As a result, Mathias Schober’s contract has ended with immediate effect.

Following open and honest discussions, FC Schalke 04’s executive board and André Hechelmann have agreed to part ways, in a decision shared on Wednesday (6/3). The 39-year-old will leave his position as technical director with immediate effect, with his duties set to be shared amongst the club’s governing body for the time being.

Another talent from the academy has committed his future to the Royal Blues. U19s player Vitalie Becker has signed a long-term senior contract with FC Schalke 04. The 18-year-old will officially be a member of S04’s senior team from 1st July 2024 and his contract is valid until 30th June 2027. The finer details will remain undisclosed.
