Schalke to play Augsburg on a Tuesday evening in the DFB-Pokal

The DFB scheduled the 16 second-round ties for the DFB-Pokal on Thursday morning (5/9). FC Schalke 04 will play away at FC Augsburg on Tuesday, 29th October at 18:00 CEST.

DFB-Pokal

The Royal Blues have come up against FCA once before in the DFB-Pokal, back in the 2010/11 season. The two sides met in the round of 16, with Schalke winning 1-0 away thanks to Jefferson Farfan’s winning goal in the 84th minute. That season, the Royal Blues went on to lift the cup for the fifth time.

Mohr with an assist and a goal apiece as S04 win 2-0 in Aalen

FC Schalke 04 booked their place in the second round of the DFB-Pokal on Saturday (17/8) with a 2-0 win away at VfR Aalen in front of 10,805 fans at the CENTUS ARENA. Kenan Karaman (31’) and Tobias Mohr (68’) scored S04’s goals.
