S04 to take on Bremer SV on a Sunday in the DFB-Pokal

The DFB announced the exact dates and times for the 32 first-round games of the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday (15/6). FC Schalke 04 will play Bremer SV on Sunday, 31st July at 13:00 CEST at the Marschweg-Stadion in Oldenburg.

Bremer SV qualified for the DFB-Pokal by winning the Bremen regional cup and were promoted to the fourth tier just a few weeks ago.

“We’re looking forward to our first-round game against Bremer SV. Our aim is clear. We want to reach the second round and start the season well. In order to do that against a highly-motivated side, we need to be fully focused and have respect for what’s in front of us. We’ll prepare for the game as best we can,” said sporting director Rouven Schröder after the draw was made in May.
