Timing for DFB-Pokal first-round match confirmed: S04 to play on Sunday at 15:30 CEST

The DFB has today confirmed the timings for all 32 first-round matches in the DFB-Pokal. The Royal Blues will be in action on Sunday, 13th September, with kick-off set for 15:30 CEST. S04 will face off against the best-ranked side in the Bavarian Regionalliga, which will likely be 1. FC Schweinfurt 05.

Schweinfurt are currently top of the Regionalliga Bayern, which was put on hold earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Türkgücü München had previously been top of the table, but are no longer part of the Regionalliga after having their promotion to the 3. Liga confirmed. In accordance with a decision by the Bavarian football association, all of Türkgücü München’s results have been removed from the overall league standings.

Given that the Regionalliga Bayern will not resume play before the DFB-Pokal first round gets underway, there are no teams that can oust Schweinfurt from the top of the table by then. However, the BFV has not yet submitted its representative for the DFB-Pokal. A decision in this regard will only be made following the final of Bavaria’s Toto Cup, which is set to take place on 5th September.

The club will share information on the location for the match as soon as it becomes available.
