S04 to face FC Kharkiv and Fagiano Okayama in pre-season training camp

The Knappen are set for a double-header of friendly action as part of their upcoming training camp. FC Schalke 04 will take on international opponents during their stay in Stubaital (19–26/7). The Royal Blues will face Ukrainian side FC Metalist Kharkiv and Japanese top-flight club Fagiano Okayama during their stay in Austria.

FC Kharkiv secured promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League in summer 2025. They finished the campaign in fifth place, narrowly missing out on qualification for European competition. Fagiano Okayama ended their first season in the J.League following promotion in 13th place.

Tickets for both matches are available online via testspiele.at. The Fan Affairs Team will also be selling physical tickets during training sessions at the sports ground in Neustift. There will be no ticket sales at the stadiums on matchdays.

The Fan Affairs Team will publish further away match information for the training camp shortly. This will also include details on how Schalke supporters can use the organised bus transfers from Neustift to the two friendly matches.

After an intensive week of training, FC Schalke 04 suffered defeat in their first friendly of pre-season on Saturday (11/07). Miron Muslic’s side were beaten 2-1 by FC Gütersloh in hot conditions, with Adil Aouchiche getting on the scoresheet for the Royal Blues.
