S04 to face NAC Breda in a friendly at the Parkstadion

FC Schalke 04 have arranged a friendly match to be played during the first international break of the season. On Wednesday, 4th September, head coach Karel Geraerts’ side will take on NAC Breda at the Parkstadion. Kick-off is at 18:00 CEST.

Tickets for the game against the Dutch first-division team are now available at tickets.schalke04.de for €12 (concessions €7), including all advance booking fees. There is no difference for standing and seated tickets. Unlike for competitive matches in the VELTINS-Arena, local transport use via the VRR network is not included in the tickets.

NAC Breda have begun their season with two losses (4-1 against FC Groningen and 2-1 to FC Utrecht) and a win (2-1 over Ajax Amsterdam). Leo Greiml, who recently transferred from Schalke to the Dutch club, played the full 90 minutes in all three games.

FC Schalke 04 played Leeds United in a friendly match on Saturday (27/07), but were beaten 2-0 at SV Westfalia Rhynern’s ground in their dress rehearsal ahead of next weekend’s season opener. An eventful first half somehow ended goalless, before Mateo Joseph (57’) and Joël Piroe (65’) earned victory for the Championship side after the break.
