S04 to play friendly at VfL Osnabrück in January

FC Schalke 04 have arranged a friendly to prepare for the second half of the season. A week before their first competitive game of 2026, Miron Muslic’s side will play away against VfL Osnabrück on Saturday, 10th January (14:00 CET).

Osnabrück are currently pushing for promotion in the 3. Liga and their first competitive game of 2026 will also be on the same day as Schalke’s. While the Royal Blues play away at Hertha BSC on Saturday, 17th January (20:30 CET), VfL take on Alemannia Aachen away from home at 16:30 CET.

FC Twente have kindly invited the Royal Blues to help celebrate the Eredivisie club’s 60th birthday this week. Schalke 04 will head to the Netherlands this Thursday (13/11) to take part in a celebratory friendly match against the hosts. “Of course, I’m very aware of the special bond between FC Twente and Schalke 04, particularly the close fan friendship there,” said head coach Miron Muslic.

Schalke lose 3-2 at the hands of Bohemian thanks to last-minute goal

The Royal Blues fell to a 3-2 defeat away to Irish top-flight club Bohemian FC during a jam-packed friendly contest on Saturday (11/10). Janik Bachmann netted a brace for the visitors before the home team clinched victory with the final act of proceedings.
