Friendly against VfL Osnabrück now to be played behind closed doors in Gelsenkirchen

Following the weather-related cancellation on Saturday morning (10/1), all parties worked to find an alternative solution. The friendly against the third-tier side will now take place behind closed doors in Gelsenkirchen. Kick-off will be at 14:15 CET.

For organisational reasons, FC Schalke 04 are unable to admit spectators at short notice. However, the club have been able to set up a live stream of the match, as had originally been planned in Osnabrück. Supporters will therefore be able to watch the Royal Blues’ friendly on the club’s official YouTube channel. Given the short notice, the club asks for understanding should there be any minor technical issues.

Miron Muslic: A great experience for our young bunch of lads

With players away on international duty, several Knappen rested and a number also out injured, Miron Muslic had anything but a full squad to choose from for Thursday’s friendly (13/11) at FC Twente to mark the Dutch club’s 60th anniversary. A number of players from Schalke’s academy therefore got the chance to impress in front of a big crowd in Enschede.
