AGM 2025: The most important takeaways
A total of 2,332 members, 2,291 of whom were entitled to vote, attended Saturday’s (15/11) annual general meeting at the VELTINS-Arena. schalke04.de has summarised the key information and decisions from the almost four-hour event.
Election of the supervisory board and election committee
As scheduled, two seats on the supervisory board were up for election. Johannes Struckmeier, who had already been part of the board, and Stefan Hegmanns were elected.
Two positions on the election committee were also filled as part of the regular rotation. Members voted for Nathalie van den Meulenhof and Anja Wortmann.
Votes on amendments to the statutes
Four proposed amendments to the statutes were put to a vote at the AGM. They were all approved.
Reports from the chairman of the supervisory board and the board members
Chairman of the supervisory board Axel Hefer discussed, among other things, the lessons learned from last season and explained why Schalke are now firmly back on the right track.
CEO Matthias Tillmann outlined the club’s restructuring in terms of its sporting leadership, strategic changes within sponsoring, the Schalke fan experience and the club’s financial stability.
Frank Baumann reflected on his first few months at Schalke and provided information on personnel decisions, scouting, the Knappenschmiede and women’s football.
Christina Rühl-Hamers assessed the club’s financial position, highlighting the key figures and addressing the new bond.
Discharges
The agenda also included the formal discharge of the executive board and the supervisory board for the past financial year.
Chairman of the supervisory board and deputy
Following the AGM, the supervisory board convened for its constitutive meeting. Axel Hefer was reelected as its chairman.
