Amine Harit voted Player of the Month

The fans have rewarded Amine Harit’s impressive start to the season by voting the midfielder Schalke’s Player of the Month for August. The Moroccan international received almost half the votes in the poll presented by Hagedorn on schalke04.de.

49% of votes went to Harit, 9% to Jonjoe Kenny, 6% to Omar Mascarell and 5% to Alex Nübel.

One lucky fan who voted for Harit, Michael Gründker, won two VIP tickets for the home game against 1.FSV Mainz 05. The 51-year-old also had the honour of meeting Schalke’s number 25 personally and was the first to congratulate him on his award.

“I am absolutely delighted to accept this award. Thank you to all the fans who voted for me,” said Harit. Gründker added: “Amine totally deserved it. He has proved that again here against Mainz. It’s been a fantastic evening and meeting him was the icing on the cake.”

Now the question is whether Harit can defend his title to become September’s Player of the Month as well. The voting for that opens after the away game at RB Leipzig on Saturday and Hagedorn will again being providing an attractive prize for participants.
