Benjamin Stambouli: Solidarity is a part of Schalke

Benjamin Stambouli has been out of action for several months due to a complicated foot injury, but the 29-year-old has been fighting towards his comeback ever since. “It’s getting better and better”, said the Frenchman in an interview with Schalke TV.

“I’m working hard to come back as quickly as possible,” said Stambouli, who suffered his foot injury in the Revierderby back in October. “I’m using this time to get fit again.” The centre back also gave us an insight into his current day to day life, which includes treatments and individual training sessions, as well as board game evenings with his wife in order to compensate for the lack of football because, “I’m not getting the adrenaline from the games at the VELTINS-Arena,” Stambouli joked.
