Bundesliga Home Challenge: Revierderby on matchday 4

The DFL announced the pairings for the matchday 4 of the Bundesliga Home Challenge on Wednesday (April 15th). The Royal Blues will take on Borussia Dortmund on Saturday (April 18th) at 17:10 CEST. Schalke’s fans can follow the online derby live on Twitch.

Bundesliga Home Challenge

The Bundesliga Home Challenge is set for its fourth round, which features the first derby between S04 and BVB in a football simulation. In the showcase initiated by the DFL, the Royal Blues have won five of their six matches so far, with their only loss coming against Hannover 96.

The Black-Yellows, on the other hand, have been less successful in the Bundesliga Home Challenge. After a draw against Mainz (3-3) on the first matchday and a victory over Holstein Kiel the week after (7-4), BVB lost to RB Leipzig last time out (6-2). YouTuber Erné Embeli competed for Dortmund against FIFA professional and Leipzig fan Ajdin Islamovic, with the duel ending in a 3-0 loss for BVB. In the second match, Leipzig’s Nordi Mukiele faced Dortmund’s defender Leonardo Balerdi. The RBL defender went 2-0 down, but pulled off a dramatic comeback to beat his fellow Bundesliga footballer 3-2.

Matchday 4

The Schalke team will be made up of midfielder Nassim Boujellab and Tim „Tim Latka“ Schwartmann. The S04 eSports ahtlete returns to the side in place of Jean-Clair Todibo after commentating on the Bundesliga Home Challenge for Schalke fans live on Twitch last weekend.

The latest Bundesliga Home Challenge matchday starts on Saturday (April 18th) at 15:30 CEST with the clash between SV Darmstadt 98 and Eintracht Frankfurt. The Royal Blues’ matches can be followed live on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/s04esports) starting at 17:10 CEST.

Bundesliga Home Challenge

The showcase initiated by the German Football League (DFL) takes place as an online competition in football simulation game FIFA 20. The teams in the Bundesliga Home Challenge each consist of two individual players. The game is played on PlayStation 4. The “85 mode” guarantees that all teams have the same skill level. A game lasts 25 minutes. Two games are played for each encounter. No table is created for the Bundesliga Home Challenge and the results are not included in any official classification.
