Bundesliga Home Challenge: S04 enjoy dominant 8-0 win in the Revierderby

There was a clear winner in the Revierderby in the Bundesliga Home Challenge on Saturday (18/04). The Royal Blues, again represented by the team of eSports player Tim ‘Tim Latka’ Schwartmann and midfielder Nassim Boujellab, ran away with the victory in an 8-0 win over arch-rivals BVB.

Borussia Dortmund (Eldin Todorovac) vs. FC Schalke 04 (Tim Schwartmann)

The opening game between Tim ‘Tim Latka’ Schwartmann and Eldin ‘Ermin_Star6’ Todorovac started off as a slow burner, with chances for either side coming few and far between. Schwartmann attempted to find a way through the opponent’s strong defensive set-up, but ultimately his efforts were in vain as the teams went into half-time goalless.

The second half was a similar story to the first, with Schalke struggling to find a way past Dortmund’s back line. The best chance of the game actually went the way of our opponents, with Erling Haaland finding space in the penalty area with just seconds to go before the final whistle, however his shot went wide of the target. Final score: 0-0.

Borussia Dortmund (Achraf Hakimi) vs. FC Schalke 04 (Nassim Boujellab)

So it was up to the two footballers to decide the tie, as midfielder Nassim Boujellab took on full back Achraf Hakimi. Boujellab made his ambitions clear before the game and came flying out of the blocks, opening the scoring for Schalke with his own virtual player.

Schalke’s #16 was proving to be too much to handle for his Moroccan counterpart as he doubled his lead in the 20th minute through Ahmed Kutucu. The game seemed to be all but over by half time, with Boujellab netting twice more before the interval as his own virtual player celebrated his hat trick.

The second half proved to be no different to the first as the youngster increased his lead to six by the hour mark (Burgstaller 51’, Boujellab 60’), before securing Burgstaller’s brace just a few moments later (65’). It went from bad to worse for Hakimi as Dan-Axel Zagadou was shown red in the closing stages, before Burgstaller claimed his hat trick to end the scoring in an impressive 8-0 win for Nassim Boujellab and Schalke!
