First-team player tests positive for Covid-19

The player in question has been in quarantine at home since the results came back and is without symptoms. The player’s test last Thursday (29/10) had come back negative.

Team doctor and hygiene officer Dr. Patrick Ingelfinger will discuss further measures with the local health authorities. FC Schalke 04 will implement and accept any instructions from the authorities and also asks that people respect the player in question’s privacy.
