First team start training again

FC Schalke 04 returned to team training on Wednesday (28/4). After two Covid-19 tests came back positive on Monday’s PCR tests, the tests on Tuesday came back negative for those two people.

After consulting relevant authorities and experts, it is highly likely that the positive tests were actually wrong. A further round of tests were done on Wednesday on the members of the first-team setup in question, who are still in quarantine.

All other quick and PCR tests done on the first team on Tuesday – and the quick tests on Wednesday – all came back negative. After discussing the situation with the health authority, there is no danger for the team and staff.

FC Schalke 04 will continue to follow all instructions given to the club from the authorities.
