Hebei China Fortune FC and FC Schalke 04 intensify cooperation

On Tuesday (23.7.) a royal blue delegation led by Alexander Jobst, board member for marketing and communications, and Peter Knäbel, Schalke’s senior director youth development, visited Hebei China Fortune FC in Langfang and met with the club’s general manager Jun LI and sports director Jun LV.

In a productive dialogue at the highest level lasting several hours, both the previous cooperation was critically reviewed and the future partnership content-wise discussed. Both sides made the sporting exchange, brand rights, coach education, player selection and projects for youth training cooperation subject of discussion.

In conclusion, both sides agreed to strengthen communication with each other, to make intensive use of individual resources and to further support the development of young talents at Hebei China Fortune FC. Together, Schalke 04 and Hebei China Fortune FC, want to continue to make a significant contribution to the positive development of Chinese football in the long term.

An individual honour for Jonjoe Kenny: the right-back has won August’s Rookie of the Month award, after impressing during his first three Bundesliga matches and topping it all off with a goal against Hertha. The 22-year-old Englishman was up against Wolfsburg’s Xaver Schlager and Augsburg’s Ruben Vargas. The trio were nominated by the DFL (Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH) for their performances during the opening month of the season.
