Jersey swap: Special edition for match against Nürnberg

It is the jersey-made fan friendship: Schalke and Nürnberg will take to the pitch for their Bundesliga encounter in specially designed jerseys. While the Schalke jersey is now printed with the Frankish rake in a light gray stripe pattern and otherwise looks almost completely like the Nürnberg away kit – but with blue instead of red detailing-, the so called “Clubberer” will wear Schalke’s famed mallet and iron motif on their wine-red jersey.

In a way never seen before, the jerseys represent the close and intense fan friendship between the two traditional clubs that have been supplied by the same supplier – the British company Umbro – since the start of the 2018/2019 season.

Alexander Jobst, Schalke’s board member for Marketing and Communications, commented on the special action: „With the special jersey, we our paying tribute to the fan friendship between our club and 1. FC Nürnberg in a unique way. With our joint jersey partner Umbro, we have designed two extraordinary jerseys, which – because they are limited – already have a real collector’s value for many Schalke and Nürnberg fans. “
