There’s a new signing for the Royal Blues’ social media platforms, as FC Schalke 04 are now on TikTok. The Royal Blues will soon be entertaining their supporters with short, creative video clips featuring the players. Starting an official TikTok account is a strategic step, intended to reach out to Schalke’s younger fans around the globe.

The network is the world-leading mobile platform for short videos, where users can show their creativity, knowledge and the most significant moments of their lives directly from their smartphone.

More than two billion people have now downloaded the mobile app, which is available on Android and iOS. TikTok’s motto is ‘make every second count’, and it is mostly used by those between the ages of 16 and 25.

How does it work?

Users can get creative by posting short, portrait clips with music, sounds and filters. The app is easy to use: the timeline is where videos are shown, other users can be followed and where you can like or comment on clips.
